Yohan Daza
Yohan Daza is an artist and children's book illustrator based in Grand Rapids, MI, born in Chile, South America—the land of poets. A graduate of Kendall College, Yohan is known for his evocative oil paintings and vibrant illustrations. His latest art series centers on graceful ballerinas, capturing their delicate motion and the enchanting spirit of dance, inspired by the movement and artistry of Degas. He also brings life to musical instruments such as violins, cellos, and guitars through his unique painting style. Yohan is currently selling his work at the Arts Marketplace at Studio Park in Grand Rapids and has previously exhibited at the Stray Art Cafe in the city. Embracing Degas’s vision, he finds deep inspiration in capturing movement, as Degas once said, "What ballet dancers do is so beautiful that to try to find its equivalent in literature or painting seems almost impossible."
